The Handala Project

There are two quartets performing throughout the Project.

Fifth Quadrant is a music collective led by violist Drew Balch and violinist Simon Hewitt Jones. They have broadcast on BBC Radio 3, appeared at major festivals in the UK, and tour frequently to the Middle East, bringing Western Classcial Chamber Music to the people of Palestine.

Dal'Ouna is one of Palestine's leading musical groups, featuring the instruments oud, bouzouq, accordion, nay, and percussion. Founded by Palestinian musician Ramzi Aburedwan, a child of the First Intifada and a West Banker, they tour extensively throughout Europe and further a field.
